Wonderful Friends
words and music by Lorre Wyatt and Pete Seeger

Liz Benjamin sang this touching song at the 2018 Conference and brought tears to many eyes. Written by Pete Seeger and Lorre Wyatt, it was a favorite of the Clearwater Festival.
Our own Jenny Boyd-Murphy was one of the voices in the recording and credited on the CD. Jenny tells us:
“About a dozen of us spent the day with Pete at the Howland Center in Beacon, New York, to record songs for a CD to accompany a reprint of his book Where Have All the Flowers Gone. David Bernz, who organized the day and session, turned it into a CD project that won a Grammy that year. A few years later, I returned to Beacon to join a larger group of singers and children and we did the song again, this time with Pete and Lorre Wyatt. That recording appears on their album A More Perfect Union.”
