Sunflower

Just as sunflowers turn their heads toward the sun, all the CMN members turned their heads toward Jean when she shared this at the Annual Conference Round Robin. Jean says:

“I wrote ‘Sunflower’ this past spring when I heard about The Great Sunflower Project, which is a citizen scientist program in which people are asked to grow Lemon Queen sunflowers and then count the pollinator visitors (mostly bees) to the flowers. I have played music for a number of school garden programs and wrote this thinking about the kids who would be growing sunflowers and my own sunflowers. I have played the song for people and bees and sunflowers, and the cats seem to like it too.”
