What Do I Do?
words and music by Ruth Pelham
© 1982 Ruth Pelham
In this moving song, Ruth acknowledges how hard it is at times to give comfort to a person who is crying, not knowing just what to do. The song acknowledges the pain and also gives some simple, true answers for children and adults that provide real comfort in their honesty. This is a zipper song, one in which new words or phrases can be "zipped" in and out. Ruth often invites people to make up their own verses to personalize the song.
