The mother-son duo created this album to explore “our connection to ancestors and each other,” and there are few organisms that embody the interdependent web of being like the mushroom. From the mycelium that stretches for miles underground to the portobello on your plate to the decomposers transforming death back into life, fungi make our world possible.
