When We Sing Together

Kim says, “This song is based upon all the articles about the benefits of singing together. Originally, I wrote it as a much longer song with three verses and a chorus, but it turned out I could say what I wanted to say, and get the people singing the song better, by structuring it as a round.”

One of Kim’s professional goals this year was to improve her students’ round and part singing. She uses hand motions to help students remember the words, for example, thumping on the chest when singing “our hearts beat together.” After only two rehearsals, her students made the recording included here!
