Mara Sapon-Shevin

Mara is a professor of inclusive education in the School of Education at Syracuse University.

The author of over 200 publications, Mara works with undergraduates, doctoral students, and faculty on creating anti-oppressive learning environments and promoting equity and inclusion. Her newest book (forthcoming) is You Put Your Whole Self In: Embodied Social Justice Teaching.

A certified Let Your Yoga Dance teacher, Mara explores ways of using music, movement, and theater to explore issues of social justice with children and adults.

Mara loves to quilt, sing, dance, scuba dive and eat chocolate, some of which she tries to do at the same time.
